Not really..

Another happy happy joy joy thing is that I tried to farm this green item and the boss only kept dropping me blue scrolls.

Oh, and I experienced my first 007 error today. Luckily it was on a spider fow run just when I was reaching the cave!

Gee, these scrolls will come in real handy when I try to increase my 250+ unspent skill points. You can't even stack the darn things. I will not be participating.

Your info is a couple of months out of date.

The event was working for me yesterday. I've always managed to kill both Troll bosses, just now they might drop something a little better.

Well ok. Did anyone notice Rare Scrolls prices went way south about a week & 1/2 before this double wammy weekend.
I think its some sort of bug and A-Nerf just decided to call it double scroll drop event.
Scrolls and rare scrolls have been dropping like hotcakes for awile, thus price changes way before this event

Well, I've found about five or six scrolls, I guess, just rocking around capping and questing, not looking for them. Couple golds, rest blue. This is more than usual I think, and a bit more money when I sell them. I don't need the xp for any of my chars.

It is nice though that ANet is trying to do something, since general PvE drops are sort of disappointing of recent, to put it mildly. Contents of chests that I've opened for weeks have been nothing worth keeping, or salvaging, and that is usually in the 150-200g range.

Yes, thats right! Youll get to hear some great one liners - TWICE as often! This includes classics like:

Okay, so maybe they arent all one liners... but um...

Soon after that they should impliment some new trade improvements! No, no it wont be the pie-in-the-sky/carrot-on-a-stick Auction House that theyve taunted us with hints at for nearly two years now, but rather W2B and W T B will now be redirected to the $Trade channel, too. Yippee!

(of course, itll probably introduce a bug that causes all $Trade channel chat to be echoed in !Local)
Nothing as classic as sister tai's one liner....

Wow...I really didn't wanna be the 1st person to conrtadict every1 else, but ANet didn't have to do anything for us this weekend. I for one find it very helpful. And to Arteful Dodger and any others who may be wondering, it can even be very helpful to some people that are level 20. Notice the timing they used for this event...just one month away from the release of Nightfall. I think lots of lvl 20's find it helpful that they can get Skill Points more easily and faster, which will help to unlock the Nightfall skills. I think you missed the fact that after lvl 20 there's still plenty of things you can do, mainly getting more experienced and better at GW, which can require you using a different skill set, which would require more skill points (faster than Faction Unlocking), which would require you to fight many monsters for xp. For me, farming trolls outside Droknar's Forge produced at least one normal scroll per run (killing Krogg the warrior boss). In about 15 runs today, I have gotten 3 gold scrolls, 1 of each type, and using the triple experience scrolls and money I've made, I can get 60% of a skill point in one run (2 minutes). I really don't see what everyone is complaining about. Maybe I missed something.

Come on Anet, next give us the 'double chance for Rare Material drops weekend

As for the scrolls - I've been killing the troll boss for a while, I got like 20 blue scrolls, and a few gold ones. Goldies seem to drop LESS than before the weekend, I seem to get alot more blue scrolls now.

1;This events pathetic-2;You DONT NEED to have one every weekend, and 3; Why the hell are they having them weekly, are they competing against someone or something?

I'm unsure why the weekend has upset you. Has it hampered your playing in some way? I really don't understand why no special weekend at all would be better than one that is providing a practical and useful benefit to some players.

I'm not sure what all the skepticism is for, because I've had roughly ten times the normal amount of scrolls drop for me!

That's right, zero.

Same here, no noticable increase in scrolls dropping. On the other hand I've seen more keys falling for me than normal. No complaints here.

Along with most of you, I'm not very fond of this particular event, although my reasoning seems to be far different. You see...all I get from bosses are scrolls. I've been doing solo green runs from a bunch of different bosses, and all they drop are scrolls! Seriously, I've probably gotten around a dozen in the last day or so. It's rather annoying...guess I'll have to put off boss farming until Monday.

I was wondering the purpose of this event..? Skill points for Nightfall?
